About our research
Physicochemical Plant Physiology
Desert and Agriculture
Our research aims to provide insights into fundamental mechanisms that control the behavior of biological systems in the context of a changing environment. Nowadays, we are particularly focused on the soil-root interface and the biophysics that govern the behavior of complex porous materials subjected to different stressors such as drought, salt and mechanical deformation. The future for agriculture is challenging and our research program is devoted to provide information to growers from arid and semi arid regions to support their decision-making process.
